When I was young, my grandma would make these watermelon popsicles -
easy and delicious on a hot summer day. Learn how to from Family Fun.
One of our favorite recipes this summer has been Watermelon Sorbet.

Okay, here's a little treat for National Watermelon Day for the adults:
ReplyDelete1/2 seedless watermelon, cubed
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced
1 bunch white seedless grapes, sliced longways
1 small fistful basil, torn, not cut
1/2 litre brandy
1.5 litre dry white wine (I really like Armond Roux's L'Epayrie')
Mix all this together in a big bowl, stir and let sit for at least 4 hours. Now you've got your "roux" for the sangria. You can either drink it straight, add more wine, seltzer, or even gingerale or sprite if you want it sweeter.
Salud!
